RE-Dressed Identities

Re-dressed identities is the result of the exchange between two cultures, Mexico and United Estates, and represents the fusion of traditional and contemporary textiles. The pieces where created from the stories of people´s lives, immigrants who left their country, their communities, their families to migrate from Oaxaca to the United Estates. These immigrants then returned to their homeland and their stories of transformation are recreated by the intervention of their traditional dress.
